Farmer Rancher Grant RFP announced

Farmer Rancher grants from USDA SARE can be for individuals ($7,500 maximum), partners ($15,000 maximum), or groups ($22,500 maximum) for ideas initiated by farmers and ranchers. Projects may last up to 22 months. About 50 projects are funded each year. Deadline for 2015 proposals is November 20, 2014. Details here...

Opportunity for Local Farmers to Participate in Farm-to-Senior Pilot

Friendship Centers of Emmet County (FCEC) would like to partner with farmers who grow produce in Antrim, Emmet, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Otsego counties to incorporate locally grown foods into meal programs that serve many area seniors. More here...
