Ag Zoning and Right to Farm Workshop

Supporting farmers and farmland protection is no longer just a system of preventing non-farm
development. It now includes modifying zoning to have a very broad and inclusive concept of
what is farming—recognizing that farming is a fast changing industry where it is necessary for
many non-traditional activities to take place. Communities can help enterprising farmers grow
their business and facilitate preservation of agricultural activity and farmland, or it can hinder
these efforts. At this workshop, learn about the implications of the Right to Farm Act and other
aspects of agricultural zoning. More information and registration: Click here.
